I am going to try to put a little more time into running this site. We (Mamabird and Papabird) still think this site could help this to be a better and more connected family. With more of the grand kids reading and writing and needing practice with same, I think our email. forums and chat can help with that. If anyone needs help using this site or getting passwords and you are a friend or member or somehow related or associated with this family, send me an email at admin@woococksnest.come. Also, please remember there are grand kids using the site.

What's New in the Forums

For those of you who have been asking, I've added a thread in the forums in "General" with a list of things Jen and her family still need for their new house. Hopefully, the pregnant sub-families of the nest will follow my lead and post information to help us all know what we can get for the soon-to-be new arrivals

AND a boy!

Kim, Harley, and Ally got their big news today: their new baby (due late July) is a boy! These two latest will make 11 total--eight girls and three boys. Fun No pics here yet, but hopefully soon.

Last week we had another ultrasound. As you can see from the video above, IT'S A GIRL! You can see her yawn at 1:15 on the video  You can also watch the full size video *HERE* Both our doctors said everything is going great! 10 fingers 10 toes, and a clean AFP screening

Thanksgiving!

Ok, ya'll--Holidays are coming. Those who wanted to be included in the drawing for gifts have been drawn. If you forget who you are gifting, contact me or Jenny; we have lists. Now, Thanksgiving day most of us will go to Mama's for dinner. Jerry and Matt will not be with us, and Kim's family hasn't finalized plans yet, but everyone is welcome. We'll plan the menu in the forums, so let us know what you want to bring and/or eat.

Life's been getting in the way of posting--Richard's health issues, new grandbabies and sick grandbabies--but life's getting back on track. Hopefully I'll have the time and focus to start actually running this site again. Time to start thinking about Christmas lists (yes, I know, it's early, but if you post now, you might get what you want instead of just whatever I can think of to get you Hope to see all the Nesters in the forums soon.

Pot Luck

The extended inhabitants of The Nest held their first Wednesday Night Potluck tonight. In attendance were 7 adults and 4 children, and a good time was had by all.
It was nice to see old friends again--especially since they came bearing food
The primary activity of the evening (at least after the consumption of food and before the Wii) was the listing of themes for future get-togethers. Eventually a drawing was held, and next week's theme is "Finger Food."
If you're a Nester, you're invited. Just make your favorite finger food and show up.
Ni pics--didn't occur to me to take a camera--but I'll try to get some for next week.

Fall Camping trip for all Woodsy Woodcocks

I have posted in the forums about planning a Fall Camping trip, I am going to be the organizer for this year, Mamabird has finally gotten a full time teaching position and she is too busy to do the planning. Maybe I can get it together enough to get this together, if anybody wants to do it again. The last one was a fun even it only me and Nicholas got in a boat and got wet. Check out the forum, scroll down and tell me something soon like: who's coming, what dates you are available, where we can have it.( Last one was just north of Wiiggins), what you want to bring and what do you might need do the camping thing,...we have much stuff already and it is not fun to have to carry too mamy extras. Wiiating to hear from all with a yes or no or maybe.
